This violin has come back to me via a convoluted route and I am thrilled to be acquainted with it again after so many years! I made it at the very beginning of my career and it has been beautifully looked after. It has a simple varnish and a dramatic back, being of root figure. This mature instrument is very well worth a trial and can easily be couriered to you or tried at the workshop.

Since I wrote this I realise how liked this violin is, it has a very brilliant and easy E string and depth and complexity over the whole instrument. Certainly one to try and the price is much more accessible than usual, a piece of history too.
