The name of Paganini is inextricably linked with the 'Il Cannone' violin. In his day Paganini had such a following that ladies swooned and his reputation for showmanship and innovation in his playing technique was enough to sell his concerts all over Europe.

'Il Cannone' continues to inspire players today and we hope that this new violin will do the same. Before even putting a bow to the strings of this instrument we took it to hear Alex Markov playing Paganini caprices with the fanciful hopes it  would absorb the spirit and excitement of the night!

We hope that by harking back to features of the original violin from 1743, we have created a violin for the next generation, who may love it and play with verve and Paganini's bravura.
