This lovely violin LOB 354.5mm is based on a violin that we know very well and we first copied in 2008 for Irish soloist Michael D'Arcy. The forms of this violin are absolutely characteristic of this maker who's youngest son was to become one of the greatest violin makers ever. With beautiful, delicate, flowing archings and a well defined scoop around the margins it is at once feminine and imposing. The sound combines clarity with depth and absolute evenness from string to string in a way that is immediately appealing, which is why I keep returning to this pattern.
