A peg which would look lovely on baroque violins or on slightly older patterns. This peg is based on the ‘Hill’ pegs which were made for the Andrea Amati violin in Tullie House in Carlisle in the UK.
Traditionally made in boxwood with ebony collars it can be available in other woods with a choice of wood or ivory alternative mounts. Shown here in stained Boxwood with Ebony collar. No pip because the end of the peg has a profile which makes the pip superfluous.
Please note: The combination of stained Boxwood with natural Boxwood collar is not available.
